Threshold is an exhibition of works by eight Masters Visual Arts students from the University of Stellenbosch.

 

Participating artists and designers include Clara Babette, Marli Fourie, Louis Odendaal, Marguerite Roux, Jessica Staple, Carmen Titus, Jaco van Schalk Wyk and Lani van Niekerk.

 

“As an important marker in a year’s research and studio activity, the exhibition presents some of the themes, practices and discoveries made by the students in their work thus far. As a group, the students are at various stages of the Masters programme, some in their first year of study and others preparing for their graduating exhibitions. For each of the participants, the exhibition represents a ‘threshold’, a point of transition before entering into a new phase of their studies and careers”.
